• Standard callout £120 + VAT, Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, first hour of labour included.
• After-hours callout £180 + VAT, first hour of labour included.
• Additional time at £80/hr + VAT standard, £100/hr + VAT after hours, in 30-minute increments.
• Parts and materials charged separately, at cost. No travel charge inside the service area.

Two things follow from that structure. A job taking 45 minutes still costs the callout, so small jobs are worth batching: the outside light, the two dead sockets, the extractor fan and the loft light in one visit rather than four separate ones. Write the list before you ring.

The second is where cheap work actually costs money. Notifiable work carried out without notification surfaces years later, when a buyer's conveyancer asks for a Building Regulations compliance certificate that does not exist and the sale waits on a regularisation application.
