Ring us and the first thing that happens is triage on the phone. Smoke, a burning smell, water on the installation, anyone relying on power for medical equipment. Then one more question: are the neighbours dark too?

That question matters. If the supply itself has failed, the cut-out, the main fuse or the incoming cable, it belongs to UK Power Networks and not to us. Dial 105 free from any phone and it routes to them by postcode. Rural Norfolk and Suffolk carry a lot of overhead supply and a storm takes out whole feeders. Nobody should pay an electrician for that.

If it is your installation, it gets made safe before it gets repaired. The faulty circuit is isolated and proved dead, then the rest of the property goes back on, so the heating and the freezer keep running while the repair is planned.

We take emergency calls 7 days a week, daytime and after hours. Callout is £120 + VAT Mon-Fri 8am-6pm with the first hour of labour included, or £180 + VAT after hours. Price confirmed on the phone before we come out.
